In honor of tonight's debate I've rounded up all the DIY and party ideas I've seen in blogland lately. Again we seem to have lots of Obama projects, so if anyone knows of tutorials or how-to's featuring the other candidates, I'd love to hear about them. One Pretty Thing would like to give equal time to everyone! And, if you missed our last Election Roundup, check it out here!

*YumSugar has tips for hosting a debate viewing party.

*Fold US Candidate now has all of the major players available for you to print and assemble!

*Download a candidate stencil from BHG and carve your vote!

*Print out the Bingo game of your choice! Presidential debate Bingo version one, version two, version three,  or make your own game with these phrase suggestions.

*Cast your vote with cookies! Bake Cindy McCain's oatmeal-butterscotch cookies,

*Michelle Obama's shortbread cookies,

*or Bill Clinton's oatmeal cookies.

*How about Easy Cupcakes' non-partisan treat?

*Send a presidential themed e-vite to announce your viewing party.

*Vote with cocktails! Serve debate guests the McCain Straight Up, or the Barack Rocks.

*Visit The Obama Craft Project for free Obama machine embroidery patterns,

*And to find out how Rachel made this metallic stenciled tote.

*Zested tells us how she made her Obama logo tote.

*A Patchwork World shows us how to make bottlecaps for Barack.

*Julee shares the pattern for crocheted Obama ornaments.

*And Tikkun Knits provides this knitting chart so you can make hats or other knitted items featuring Obama's name in Hebrew.

I'll be adding to this Roundup throughout the day as more projects show up on the blogs. We also have an Election Party Roundup scheduled for later this month, let me know if you'd like your project, party idea or recipe included!

I’ve seen a few McCain projects on Craftster, but they seem to be mostly simple puffy paint T-shirts and no how-tos. Lots of very neat, detailed Obama projects, but it would be nice to seem some from “the other side” too. ;)

P.S. Thanks for the Fold U.S. Candidates link. I totally know how I’m going to annoy my husband during the debate now!
