I hate to be “that person” but the first link with the rug, while beautiful and fun, is crochet and not knit. I didn’t know if you had noticed since this post is called Knitting round up and all the other patterns are knit. Just an FYI.
thanks for all you do ! I love your site!

FYI: The round and round rug (which is absolutely adorable) is actually crochet, not knit.

The rug is crochet and it takes 5 balls of yarn at $90 USD a ball. So That’s $450 before shipping costs and you still have to do the work. Yikes!

Ooh good catch on the rug you guys- thanks so much! I think I must have knit rugs on the brain right row because of the one I’m working on- The Purl Bee’s 11th Hour blanket done as a rug for my bedroom. =) The Pickles Fat and Happy is expensive but there are a lot of great alternatives out there. I love Cascade Magnum for bulky, high traffic projects. I also love that when I order a bunch at once for a big project, my LYS gives me a discount! Thanks again for all the comments and Happy Knitting!
