Welcome to the first post in my new Handmade Gift Guide series: Gifts to Make and Keep on Hand. These are items that are great to make in bulk, keep on hand for last minute gifts, or use as stocking stuffers.
For the next few weeks I'll have daily Gift Guide posts full of gifts you can make yourself. We'll have gift guides for men, teachers, crafters, pets, babies, teens, and more! Enjoy!
*Make a rhinestone frame,
*Or a gilded potpourri box with BHG.
*Craft a business card case with Blueprint.
*Martha shows us how to make velevet ribbon belts,
*And cinnamon candles. Each of these would be a great last minute gift to keep on hand.
*Craft a bunch of vintage jewelry magnets,
*Or vintage floral cab necklaces for friends and family with directions from One Pretty Thing.
*Design Sponge shows us how to make stamped dishtowels.
*Cathie Filian has directions to make these vibrant batik silk scarves.
*Marble magnets always make great gifts. Check out the how-to from Creative Outlet Designs.
*J. Caroline Creative has a tutorial for adorable ribbon key fobs. Whip up a bunch in one evening!
*CraftStylish has a fantastic chopstick rest tutorial. Packaged with a set of chopsticks, they would make a great gift.
*BHG has a beaded napkin ring how-to that would be perfect for the hostess.

These are such great ideas. I actually made the cinnamon candle a few years ago, and it turned out really nice and smelled great.

I always have a thing for that, I mean making stuff out of anything…something decorative. I can even build a house using paper, like the handicrafts the prisoner in my country does. I also like creating things, I called it a talent.. and upon seeing your blogs, tips and designs I got thrilled. I will surely make rhinestone frame.
I hope to see more stuff making, new designs and tips on how to do it. Your blogs can help a lot of people specially when it comes to living. We can create then sell it..make it a business.

Great list! I’ve made marble magnets before and they were great fun. You can change up your magnet set so easily — I got carried away and made a LOT of them!
